[Field News reporter Lee Seung-chul] Terracle announced on September 22 that it will participate in the Plastic Circular Economy Solutions Pavilion at the Korea ESG Eco-Friendly Expo, held at COEX in Seoul from September 24 to 26.
At the exhibition, the company will showcase recycled terephthalic acid (Cr-TPA) and ethylene glycol (Cr-EG) produced using its Terra-X hydrolysis depolymerization technology.
Although depolymerization facilities using methanol or glycol have already been commercialized overseas, hydrolysis-based depolymerization remains an emerging technology with no established commercial-scale precedent.
Through the exhibition, Terracle plans to introduce its technology and products to industry professionals and general visitors while exploring potential partnerships related to circular resource use.
The Korea ESG Eco-Friendly Expo is a specialized ESG exhibition hosted by the Ministry of Environment and jointly organized by the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute and Messe Esang.
This year's event will present a wide range of sustainability solutions, including carbon neutrality, circular resource use, and energy efficiency. The concurrently held Korea ESG Forum will discuss industry-specific ESG strategies and policy directions.
